HOW TO SAVE IMAGES FROM THE WWW

It might help to PRINT this screen out. To do that, check your PRINTER is ON and SINGLE LEFT CLICK on PRINT at the top of this screen.

If you're going to be saving IMAGES from the www, may I suggest you organise them in their own folder? Here's how to CREATE A FOLDER:

First, you need to get to THE DESKTOP. At the absolute bottom left corner of this screen, in the SYSTEM TRAY, to the right of the START button, you'll see an ICON that resembles an old-fashioned desktop blotting pad with a mouse on it. To switch to the desktop, click on that icon.

PLACE the CURSOR in any vacant space on the screen and SINGLE RIGHT CLICK.

From the FLY OUT MENU, LEFT CLICK on NEW.

At the top of the menu, click on FOLDER.

You'll now see your new folder on the desktop with its NAME SELECTED.

Let's call it NET IMAGES...

Just type NET IMAGES and you'll see the name is there. Press ENTER.

Now return to your BROWSER by looking in the system tray. Click on the MINIMISED BROWSER BUTTON (It'll have the Blue E of Internet Explorer and the TITLE of the page you were viewing: "Instructions").

Here's how to COPY an IMAGE from a WEB SITE to a DRIVE on your computer:

HOVER the CURSOR over the image.

SINGLE RIGHT CLICK.

From the FLY OUT MENU, SINGLE LEFT CLICK on SAVE PICTURE AS.

Towards the top left of the SAVE PICTURE DIALOGUE BOX you'll see an INPUT FIELD called SAVE IN. Note there's a down arrow which, when CLICKED will give you a range of options as to where you may save the FILE.

I suggest you click the down arrow and click on your new NET IMAGES folder which you'll see is magically there.

Now, near the bottom right corner of the SAVE PICTURE dialogue box, click on SAVE.

Your image is now in your NET IMAGES folder on the desktop. Enjoy!
